Justification

Romans 5:1

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Jus-ti-fi-ca-tion

  1. The action of showing something to be right or reasonable.

  2. The action of declaring or making a sinful person righteous in the sight of God.

  3. A free gift from God to restore the right relationship with His people whereas a sinful person is declared righteous based on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ through faith and not the efforts put forth by God’s people.

To understand justification, we look to Paul who shows us that justification is a free gift from God to restore the right relationship with His people whereas a sinful person is declared righteous based on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ through faith and not the efforts put forth by God’s people.
